Ever since the introduction of cosmetics to the marketplace, men and women have been looking for ways to stave off aging. The harsh reality that one-day we would look like our parents began closing in quick on the baby boomers and Gen X'ers. It was a threat that needed to be confronted with our best scientific minds. The plethora of miracle creams and makeup that was invented over the course of the past 40 years has been amazing. From proper mascara to eye shadow to concealer, all of these have been amassed to produce anti aging miracles. A new weapon on the war against aging has been anti wrinkle creams. These WMDs (Weapons of Makeup De-Agers) have been placed before us with the promise that they will make us look 5 to 20 years younger.

It has to be looked at with some skepticism however. These companies that produce anti wrinkle cream are in it to make a buck. They will try to pass off any sort of new product, from a newly discovered plant in an Amazon to animal fat, to say that their products do work.

In doing this they invest millions of dollars a year. Invested in research, discovering new formulas, testing their concoctions and marketing their products to us. With so much invested they need a return on the product to keep the company afloat. Therefore their science is sound as they look to find ways of bettering the competition, and with each new discovery by one company all the others are looking for something they may have missed and so improve their own. One of the latest innovations are wrinkle creams.

Back in the "good old days" wrinkle creams were spackle. You smeared it on and they filled in the cracks. Unfortunately you had to move your face during the day so the creams broke up and allowed the wrinkles to shine through.

By using a plumping agent to moisturize from within the pores the wrinkles become shallower. These smaller wrinkles and moisturized skin allow the filling agents to work better, look smoother, and hold position better than they ever did before, and new research is only improving it.

The freezers hope to actually freeze the muscles underneath your face. By doing this they lessen the progression of wrinkles, making it much easier to conceal them. This is done in the most problematic of wrinkle areas, from the forehead to the crows feet around the eyes and the wrinkles around the mouth. By producing creams that help to stave off aging, it makes it possible for make ups to be more effective in their task of reducing wrinkles.

These new mashups of make up allow for these new wrinkle creams to be very effective for fighting off aging. With each new iteration of these creams, make up will become more and more effective in its job. This will allow make up to become a replacement for plastic surgery in the fight against aging.

In the end the wrinkle creams work. As each person's body is different, various combinations of makeup can be used for different results. Look at what is available and what special needs your own face has and get out there to find a cream that is just right for you
