You have to learn about your skin and decide what it needs and then find the product that is going to best fulfill that.

Second: Sunscreen is the number one tip recommended by experts. Sunscreen is a part of the regime that many people forget because they only think of it during sunny times. Sunscreen however will prevent aging and cancer and needs to be applied on a daily basis. UV rays are still penetrating the atmosphere on cloudy winter days and find a day time moisturizer that contains SPF.

Third: Cleanse your skin correctly. Many of us are either cleansing our skin too hard or too frequently if we are cleansing at all. Cleaning our skin is necessary but we have to do it correctly. Find a cleanser that fits your skin type, such as eminence or Obagi. Then use luke warm water, because hot and cold water will burst capillaries, and rub your skin in a circular motion. Only wash your face once a day and be sure that you wash your face at a constant time so that you know you are doing it on a daily basis.

Fourth: Be aware of the makeup you are buying. Makeup is something we daily expose our skin to, be sure that it is made of the best ingredients for your skin. Do research on your makeup to be sure it is going to help your skin instead of just clog it. And be careful to keep the amounts of makeup to a minimum.
