Does your skin ripple or dimple when you pinch it? If it does, you probably have cellulite. Nobody likes cellulite, but how do you get rid of it? There are lots of ways, actually.

The best way to take care of cellulite is the simplest - just get plenty of exercise and drink a lot of water. Reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake and eat a healthy, balanced diet. This will go farther than anything else you could try to eliminate cellulite.

There are a lot of commonly used pills which can cause cellulite problems or worsen an existing cellulite problem. The most common culprits are laxatives, diuretics and diet pills. If you take any of these regularly, you may be facing a cellulite problem soon if you are not already.

Your first thought was probably to run to the pharmacy and get some cellulite reducing cream, right? Unfortunately, these creams are only a temporary solution. You have to keep using them ? which can get a little pricey. If you choose to go this route, be prepared to spend some money and be patient.

If you use creams, you might choose to use a cellulite cream that contains aminophylline, since it causes fat cells to convert to fatty acids. The fatty acids go right back into your bloodstream, so your cellulite should be reduced. Just be sure to keep such creams out of extreme heat and be aware that many believe these types of harsh chemicals should not be used at all. You'll need to make that decision for yourself.

You can use cellulite creams and lotions which contain lactic acid and glycolic acid to remove dead skin cells more quickly ? removing the top layer of dead skin cells can give your skin a healthier look. You can also achieve this by using retinol and alpha hydroxyl acid containing products. Salons can help you to alleviate your cellulite problems, but these treatments can also be expensive.

In fact, many salons recommend that to treat cellulite, their customers make a habit of wearing pantyhose. Not everyone agrees with this method, but its adherents claim that the friction of the mesh fabric against the skin can stimulate circulation, helping to improve cellulite. If nothing else, hosiery can cover cellulite.

Getting a massage works for some. This will also improve the circulation in the skin and will improve its appearance, while it will not cure you cellulite problem on its own.

As you can see, there are a lot of different cellulite treatment options available. The best of these is still just to get plenty of exercise, drink lots of water and eat a healthy diet. Not only is this probably the most effective cellulite treatment, it is also good for your overall health and well-being.
