Why Would You Use A Natural SPF Moisturizer?

One of the most important things you can do for your skin doesn't have to do with using skin care products. One of the 2 or 3 best things for skin care is avoiding sunburn.

Avoiding sunburn is one of the top 3 things you can do for your skin. So doesn't it make sense to use a moisturizer with SPF?

Sadly there's good reasons to avoid a moisturizer with SPF, except that you can get a natural SPF moisturizer.

There's 2 reasons why you should avoid a moisturizer with traditional sunscreen.

Firstly there are many experts convinced that long term use of sunscreens can be dangerous and even cause cancer. It's not proven either way, but it's suspected.

But there's a second problem. If you wear sunscreen when you really are at risk of sunburn you might wear it a few times a year.

But if you use an SPF moisturizer you use that sunscreen every single day. And 99% of the time you aren't even going to go out in the sun.

See the problem? If your moisturiser has sunscreen in it you multiply the possibly cancerous effects by many times by wearing it all day every day even when you don't really need it. You're way better off using a sunscreen only on those days you need it, and a regular moisturizer other days.

And you can also cause vitamin D deficiency by long term sunscreen use.

And it's even possible to find natural SPF moisturizers that provide some sun protection from the effects of natural ingredients that happen to have some natural UV protective qualities with no chemical sunscreen.

Now you can't get protection as good as you can from a chemical sunscreen, but use the chemical sunscreens on days you really need them.
